Fangzhou Guo, a second-year doctoral student
in environmental engineering at Rice University, has received this year’s Outstanding Student Paper Award from the 20th Conference on Atmospheric Chemistry of the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
Guo was the lead author on the poster presentation titled “LaRC Modeling of Ozone Formation in San Antonio, Texas,” and was awarded a certificate and a $200 prize.
His co-authors from Rice are Robert J. Griffin
, chair and professor of civil and environmental engineering (CEE); CEE graduate students Alex Bui and Ben Schulze, and CEE postdoctoral researcher Henry William Wallace. The 98th annual meeting of the AMS was held Jan. 7-11 in Austin.
