Overview
If you would like to take more courses outside of Engineering that appeal to your interests, then the Bachelor of Arts program is the path for you. The BA degree allows students to study Civil and Environmental Engineering and topics across any discipline at Rice University.
The program aims to prepare students for graduate school in engineering, various sciences (depending upon focus), economics, business MBA, political science, law, or medicine.
If you want to become a licensed practicing engineer, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering will be the most suitable path.
